Today I'm making a 2000 ml yeast starter for tomorrows brew day. Use 200 gm. of dry malt extract and qs up to 2000ml in your flask. Add a pinch of yeast nutrient and boil for 15 minutes. Then cool in the sink until the entire volume is room temperature. It helps to put a wire rack in your sink so that the water gets to the bottom of the flask also. Remember to boil your stir bar before you add it to the flask.
